Mini update
I’ve been having a good past couple of days.
Last Friday, on the 24th, I attended my coworker/friend Kitty’s 21st birthday dinner @ Kaenyama. She’s such a sweetheart! Not to mention her family is incredibly kind and welcoming. I’m happy I attended the event. Our chef was entertaining and the food was fulfilling. After, Lisa dropped me off to my “cousin” Francis’s 20th birthday party. It was grounding to see a lot of familiar faces. Got pretty tipsy with my loved ones which is always a good time. I love them to pieces.
On Saturday the 25th, I woke up early with no hangover (thank God) and dropped my mom’s catered food to Daly City. After unloading the food at the house, me and my sister paid a visit to my Auntie Gilda. Her high voice gives you the impression that everything she says is in a yelling tone but that’s just her? Haha. Since she can’t drive, me and my sister Allison took her to Nordstrom Rack. On the way there, she took my favorite shade of lipstick! Lol it’s okay because she compensated it for a cutesy top @ Nordstrom. Took her home and said my farewell then headed back to Union City to power nap before my work shift 8-c
Sunday, the 26th. I attended noon mass with my very handsome boyfriend. My family went to Monterey to take a walk on the beach without me:( I wasn’t able to attend because I had work 3-7. Womp womp womp. But after church, I went to Ponderosa Park for Jerome’s cousin RC’s birthday bbq. The food was hecka yum as usual. And of course, his family is the best. They’re all soooo nice and welcoming. His cousin even told me I was part of the family <3 You don’t know how good it felt to hear those words. Ended that day with work. Surprisingly, it wasn’t crazy busy! That’s my kind of work shift.
Monday, the 27th. Worked 11-5. Received visits from Lisa & Kristen:) Went to the Middlefield campus right after for the start of summer quarter. My class is from 6-940 but my teacher let us out duper super early: 730! Headed home where I got ready to hit the movies with my mum and sisters. We’re extremely late in watching Bridesmaids but better late than never? The movie was HELLA funny but awkward at times because I was watching it with my mom and 10 year old sister. Especially the opening scene -____- Nevertheless, it was pretty darn hilarious.
Yesterday, Tuesday, 28th. Cheers to 43 months of love with Jerome <3 Started my day early (yes, waking up @ 930 is hella early for me). Ironed. Got ready. Then a day of shopping with Jerome! Hehehe. Went to Valleyfair, Santana Row, and Great Mall. Jerome bought me a number of things. All of them I appreciate. One word: spoiled. My feet were whooped by the time we came back to Union City around 5. Took a nap when I got home and the rest of that night was a blur.
Today, Wednesday, the 29th. Woke up @ 11. Spent the day with my Nikki boy. Took an hour nap. I don’t know why I was so sleepy today? I guess I was recuperating from… whatever. Ate Togo’s with Jerome. Toasted turkey & avocado is sooo good. I kinda want it again tomorrow lol. Gave my kindle back to him so he can return it for a brand spankin’ new one (there was an ink smudge on my old one). Went to school & did my introduction speech. I like & dislike the class at the same time. My teacher is a wonderful guide to overcoming my stage fright. But I’m just not there yet, I’m gradually becoming more comfortable with talking in front of the class. I still get the jitterbugs though. Got out of class @ 920:( Went home to change. Picked Jerome up and we gymed. Left the gym feeling great. Foodmaxx to buy some salads for tomorrow. There was a homeless lady outside of Foodmaxx going around asking for food or money. We bought her a bag of chips, soda, and gave her a couple of dollars. God bless her soul.
